MICRO-REACTOR

The micro-reactor is a fundamental R&D tool for kinetic studies. The philosophy is to look at the process chemistry with other process parts as diffusion, mass transfer and flow phenomena eliminated. The only part the R&D has in common with the production scale is the chemistry. The lab and pilot reactors often have there own specific characters. There are no interest more than to control or elimante these "lab apparatus constants". A particular difficulty in area of fibric material is the sample size, the definition of the sample and the available analysis methods, which require a certain minimum size of the micro-reactor. For chip cooking we need fractions of chips or a few-chip process handled by a desk-top digester.
