CRS STANDARD R&D REACTORS

The CRS standard reactors have a flexible and modular design to meet individual needs in configuration, size and material. The basic units have many options to be configured into multi-purpose reactor systems. Reactor modules are easily interchanged and the stirring capacity can easily be altered. The standard reactors have many connections in the the lid and in the vessel to introduce sensors. Documentation and safety fulfill industrial standards. Features and options:

  • Reactor vessel easily replacemed for other sizes, material and heating / cooling procedures
  • High power stirrer drive combined with a selection of stirrers for highly viscous suspensions
  • Glandless power transmission in hermetic shaft-house
  • Temperature control including ramping - a special temperature element inside the vessel is logging local values
  • Pressure control for the reactor head pressure to accomplish pressure gradients versus time
  • PC with visualization of the process and graphs
  • Typical safety devices are safety valve, interlocks for dangerous operation, hardware protection, software routines to prevent out of range experiments.
  • Sampling, charge, discharge of small liquid samples can be accomplished through regular sampling valves. Other samplings (suspensions and large liquid amounts) need special valve arrangement.
  • A range of optional in-situ sensors can be used such as pH-electrodes, fiber optic sensor for absorbance/transmittance spectroscopy
  • Stand with fixed motor and lid
